Admissions for Primary School and Nursery

Admission into Primary School

West Borough Primary School is a Community School under Local Authority control. Provided we have places we are able to admit pupils, following an interview with the Headteacher. To make an appointment to discuss a school place, please contact the school office by telephoning 01622 726391.

Every school in Kent has an admission authority which is responsible for its administration arrangements.  The admission arrangements contain details about how the applications to the school will be ranked.  Kent County Council is responsible for the admission arrangements for all the Community and Voluntary Controlled schools in Kent.

The criteria for Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools are:

· Children in Local Authority Care and children who have been adopted from Care

· Current Family Association (sibling)

· Health, Social and Special Access Reasons

· Nearness of Children’s Homes to School

Please note that applications for admission into our School and Nursery can only be considered once your child resides in the UK.

Applications for Primary Admission - September 2026

Applications for children due to start Primary School in September 2026 open on 7th November 2025.

Applications are to be made online at - https://www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools/school-places/primary-school-places

You can apply for up to 3 schools, putting them in order of preference. It is in your best interests to list 3 schools. Naming only one school does not guarantee your child a place at that school or give your child priority for a place over another child, neither does naming a school more than once.

If you need advice call 03000 412121 or email primaryadmissions@kent.gov.uk
